The West Valley Middle School Tennis Program is recognized as a club level sport. West Valley competes in the Greater Knoxville Tennis Association (GKTA) Middle School Tennis League. The GKTA Middle School Tennis League is a non cut program and is part of the USTA's Junior Team Tennis.
The GKTA Middle School Tennis League offers 4 levels of play:
A - Advanced
B - Intermediate
C1 - Beginner (1 year or more experience)
C2 - Beginner (New player to a year of experience)
Evaluations of all players wishing to participate take place the 1st week of school on Friday (4:30pm-6:30pm) and Saturday (8:00am-10:00am) at Gettysvue Country Club. Match play typically begins the week of Labor Day and ends the last weekend of October or the 1st weekend in November.
